The USA hasn’t been through a “pandemic” like this before and it takes some getting used to. I’m here to share some of my thoughts about this.

My thoughts on this whole thing is that it’s different. Everything is still working like it would be if we are at school but in a new way. Over the weeks of us being home, I haven’t done much other than play video games and do homework, but I have gotten the time to go swimming this past couple of days. I also feel like the media is blowing the whole Covid-19 issue out of proportion, but that doesn’t mean we don’t need to worry. The fact that they are making it seem worse than it just makes everyone think we don’t need to worry about it and hides the fact that although it’s not as bad as the media makes it out to be, we still need to be worried and take safety measures.

Now that this has been going on for a little while, I’m kind of getting the hang of it. It also feels a bit overwhelming because not only do we have normal homework, we also have “classwork” which can make our load seem like a lot more than it is. Like today, we had a creative piece and final draft due for Science this Friday, and I’m already done with both. I also feel like the teachers should post the whole week’s assignments on Renweb instead of just when the day comes so that way if we have free time we can do assignments due later in the week.

Now that it has been almost three weeks, I feel like I’m getting more used to online school. Although I would like to go back to school to see everyone again, I think this schedule benefits us a little more. Any extra homework due later in the week, we can do in the first couple of days, and then have free time. Like currently, at the time of writing this I have nothing due today that I haven’t turned in already, so I have a lot of free time today to play some games and go swimming.
